The Chocolate Museum Zagreb organizes the cleaning of children's parks in Šestine, Srednjaci and Vrbani
"Chocolate Patrol" is a socially responsible project organized by the Museum of Chocolate Zagreb, which aims to gather the residents of certain neighborhoods of Zagreb and clean the children's park they use. The cleaning of the parks will be organized in three autumn terms, on weekdays in the afternoon when the parks have the highest attendance, and the project will continue in the spring of 2021. The first "Chocolate Patrol" will be held on September 17, 2020 in the children's park in Šestine, then on September 24 in the Raketa park in Srednjaci and finally, on October 1 on the promenade in Vrbani III. For this occasion, the Zagreb Chocolate Museum has prepared a raffle for children. At the end of the event, all children who participated in the cleaning participate in the raffle on the principle of one child, one coupon. Symbolic gifts are provided by the Zagreb Chocolate Museum and partners, and the main prize is a family ticket for the Chocolate Museum worth 180 kuna.
"Through this action, we want to sensitize the local community and the park users themselves about the need to keep these green areas clean. We especially want to emphasize to children the importance and role of the individual in maintaining a clean environment. The responsibility is on all of us ", said Ružica Božić Cerovac, owner of the Zagreb Chocolate Museum and initiator of the Chocolate Patrol project.
The Zagreb Chocolate Museum says that care will be taken of the recommended health protection measures that are in force. The museum will provide at least three people at the site who will distribute gloves, garbage bags to the cleaning participants and will provide hand washing and drinking water for the cleaning participants, as well as the disposal of collected garbage and waste.
